Our Commitment
The program engages at-risk youth ages 14 to 21 with hands-on, experiential learning critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and real-world applications. From mixing, audio recording, sound production, all the way to stage performance skills.
Pre & Post Production
Learn the process from beginning to end of creating your own music and sound.
Beat Making
Most beginner producers learn to make music by creating simple beats. In this class, you will learn how beats are constructed and start making your own beats.
Sound Mixing
You will learn how to control volume and tone, and how to combine multiple sounds into one or more channels.
Sound Production
Want to get the best possible sound? With this competency you will learn to edit and construct all the sounds around you.
Song Writing
You will learn the process of writing your own songs. You will come up with your own lyrics that you will use to compose and create your song.
Audio Recording
In this course you will learn how to record audio, lyrics, and sounds to create your music, all while using professional software.
Stage Performances
You got the beat and lyrics, now it’s time to perform. With this component, you will learn how to entertain an audience with your performance.
History of Music
A quick rundown on past music and the different trends it has taken.
