We’re looking for a new home!
After 3 impactful years at 546 Bryant Street, Dev/Mission is moving out of our SoMa Headquarters. This is a very unfortunate situation for our organization, which has proudly supported this great community from this space.
Why is Dev/Mission moving?
With rapid commercial growth across SoMa, real estate dynamics in our neighborhood have shifted significantly. With our lease up this year, we entered negotiations with our landlord expecting standard terms, but were informed that our rent would jump by 156%, bringing our monthly cost to $19,000.
Where are we moving too?
While we actively search for our next permanent home, our program operations, tech programs, and team will temporarily move at our Mission District location: 360 Valencia Street. All of our free tech training programs, our Refurbathons, and our Community Technology Ambassador program will continue without interruption.
When are we moving?
Effective October 5th, all Dev/Mission programs, classes, and operations will officially transition to our Mission District location at 360 Valencia Street.
To ensure zero interruption for our students and cohorts, our program activities will begin running at 360 Valencia right away, while our team works behind the scenes to fully vacate and transition out of our 546 Bryant Street Headquarters by November 1st.
What is next?
We are actively searching for a new permanent facility to serve as our official Headquarters and will share updates with our community as soon as plans are finalized. Stay tuned
